Judith Welter

Lives and works in Zurich and Glarus, Switzerland. Since 2015 she has been the director of the Kunsthaus Glarus and has recently curated exhibitions with Bea Schlingelhoff, Bonnie Camplin, Birgit Megerle, Shana Moulton, Thomas Julier and others. She studied art history, Spanish literature, and religion at the University of Bern, earning her PhD in art history on the subject of the effect, function, and presentation of rumors and anecdotes in contemporary art. From 2007 to 2015, she was a collection curator of the Migros Museum für Gegenwartkunst. She is also a co-editor of the online magazine for art criticism named Brand-New-Life.
